Where do the items come from?
Every item in RetroHoard is sourced directly from Japan through Buyee — the world's largest Japanese proxy shopping service. We hunt down retro games, collectibles, and gaming merchandise from Japanese auctions and marketplaces so you don't have to.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the US only. All prices are in USD and include all import duties (DDP — Delivered Duty Paid), so there are no surprise fees at delivery. International shipping is on the roadmap — stay tuned!
How long does shipping take?
Each item is sourced to order from Japan — please allow 5–10 business days after payment for us to secure your item from the Japanese auction market. International shipping (DDP via Buyee) then takes approximately 2–3 weeks to reach you in the US. You'll receive a tracking number the moment your order ships from Japan.
Are items authentic / not counterfeit?
Authenticity is our #1 priority. Every item is sourced from verified Japanese sellers on platforms like Yahoo Auctions Japan and Mercari Japan. We review listings carefully and only list items we're confident in. If something ever turns out to be not as described, we'll make it right — full refund or replacement.
What condition are the items in?
Condition varies by listing and is clearly noted on each product page. We grade items as Mint, Very Good, Good, or Acceptable. Japanese sellers are known for meticulous grading — a "Good" from Japan often exceeds expectations. Item photos reflect the actual condition.
Can I return or get a refund?
Yes. If your item arrives damaged, is significantly not as described, or we can no longer source it after your order, you're covered. Contact us within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or replacement — no restocking fees, no runaround.
How are prices determined?
Prices are set based on live JPY → USD exchange rates plus sourcing, shipping, and import costs. We update prices regularly to stay fair as the yen fluctuates. You always see the final all-in price — no hidden fees at checkout.
Can I request a specific item?
We love a good quest! Use the Contact page or DM us on Instagram/TikTok with what you're hunting for. We actively scout new items and if your request is viable we'll add it to our radar. No promises, but we try our best.
